Role overview
We are an ambitious, customer-centric Data & Insights team, dedicated to developing a new generation of data products that unlock significant value for the social housing sector. We operate with a focused product lens, driven by curiosity and a commitment to technical excellence.
Business Intelligence plays a key role in our mission by developing both standalone and embedded dashboards, providing clients and stakeholders with rich insights and comprehensive reporting capabilities. Our dashboards are powered by highly performant data models and queries and supported by data quality controls and monitoring.
As such, we are looking for a stellar Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our dynamic team. In addition to being a highly skilled BI analyst, you will also work on BI development with our data engineers and support BI reporting tasks.
What will you be doing?
Dashboards and reporting are key to our products, client engagement and sector thought leadership. As such within the the BI analyst role you will work on:
Requirements. Identify our clients' and businesses dashboard and reporting needs (user stories and requirements), organising these into clear, actionable delivery plans.
Development. Develop and support new, interactive, PowerBI/Tableau dashboards based on your documented user requirements, making best use of these technologies to present clear, thoughtful, actionable insights across new data sources, products and services.
Iteration. Help to further refine and enhance our existing suite of dashboards with a focus on the user experience (UX) and insight quality.
Data servicing. Collaborate with data engineering to ensure the development of effective, performant and robust dashboard-servicing data pipelines, underpinned by well-designed data models.
Quality control. Ensure robust, consistent data insights across our dashboards and related data touchpoints, with continuous quality monitoring, appropriate version control and overall adherence to best practices.
Federation. Engage with clients and internal stakeholders, empowering them to utilise our available dashboards and reports for their own insight discovery. Measuring success. Research and develop appropriate measures of product efficacy and return on investment (ROI) in collaboration with our sector experts. Client engagement. Liaise with our clients directly or through events, conferences, webinars etc., to support their data-driven journeys. Help them find the most compelling, clean, and clear approach to effectively communicate their data insights story.
Emerging technologies. Research, monitor, assess and advocate for PowerBI/Tableau AI developments that enhance our insights, data discovery and efficiency.
Evolving standards. Working with the full data & insights team to further enhance our systems of work.
In short there will be plenty to keep you interested, your technical and power skills developing and a real chance to drive innovation and change.
Please note this is a professional, technical role, with no line management responsibilities. There will however be multiple opportunities to lead BI workstreams.
Why should you consider this role?
Alongside the work opportunities as described your development will be supported, you will be sensibly renumerated, we will provide a compelling benefits package and we are a great bunch of folks to work with - though we would say that!

A keen interest in business intelligence and analytics - bringing to the team, new approaches, best practice developments, and methods. Clear written and verbal communication, including effective communication with non-technical audiences.
